Today, I’m going to post about the rigid Polyurethane(PUR) Insulation boards, KINDUS supplied to construction site in Galhyeon-dong, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

4 advantages of the rigid polyurethane foam board :
1. Thermal Insulation :
– A high-efficiency insulating material with a low thermal conductivity of less than 0.022W/m·K.
– Can be installed with a thinner thickness compared to insulation materials rated as “A” grade in terms of thermal conductivity.
(The “A” grade insulation material refers to insulation with a thermal conductivity of less than 0.034W/m·K.)
2. Thermal Resistance :
– KS M 3809 specifies a heat-resistant temperature of 100°C for rigid polyurethane foam boards.
(For heat resistance determined according to KS M 3808, which regulates extruded insulation boards, the maximum heat-resistant temperature is 70°C.)
3. Sound Insulation :
– It prevents both external noise from entering a building and internal noise from escaping to the outside.
4. Moisture resistance :
– It resolves the inconvenience of installing a moisture barrier layer by preventing condensation
(When moisture penetrates the rigid polyurethane foam board, the insulation performance reduces by 30-50%)
As I mentioned above, due to these 4 advantages of KINDUS’ polyurethane foam board, there are very few insulation materials that can match the efficiency of this polyurethane insulation in terms of maintaining excellent insulation properties despite its thin thickness, which makes it truly remarkable.
